Patrick is a final-year PhD candidate at Delft University of Technology working on Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. His research has primarily focused on methodological advances in the field of Explainable AI and led to publications in top-tier AI venues including AAAI, ICML and IEEE SaTML. Patrick is also an active open-source contributor to the Julia programming language and the lead developer of the Taija package ecosystem for Trustworthy AI in Julia. Prior to his PhD, Patrick worked as an economist for the Bank of England where he was involved in research, monetary policy briefings and market intelligence. He holds master’s degrees in economics, finance and data science from the University of Edinburgh and Barcelona School of Economics.
