Sri Nurdiati is a member of the Academic Senate at IPB University, and a Professor of Mathematical Science at the School of Data science, Mathematics and Informatics. She was Dean of Mathematics and Natural Science Faculty (2011-2021); Secretary General of the Indonesian Network for Higher Education Institutions on Mathematics and Natural Science (2016-2018); Vice Director of USAID SAINs Project (2013-2015), and Head of Computer Science Department (2005-2011). Her current research areas include application of data science and computational mathematics on earth science. Her recent papers implement copula, multivariate analysis and machine learning techniques to develop models to predict land and forest fires in Indonesia. She teaches philosophy of science and research methods in the doctoral program, and teaches computational mathematics and analysis of algorithms in the master program. She also teaches numerical analysis and calculus in the undergraduate program, and teaches professional ethics in the vocational program.
