Temitope Olorunfemi
Dr. Temitope Olorunfemi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science whose research focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to advance women’s and girls’ health. Originally from southwestern Nigeria, she develops multilingual health-based educational applications aimed at improving cervical cancer awareness and personalized risk estimation. By communicating health information in native languages, her work enhances understanding, empowers communities, and supports informed health decision-making. Her expertise includes machine learning, data science, Natural Language Processing, Data Analytics, and Large Language Models. A recipient of the prestigious AAUW Fellowship (2021–2022), she comes from a family of researchers and educators and actively fosters interdisciplinary collaboration.
